David qualified back in 1988 knowing then that he wanted to devote his professional life to veterinary ophthalmology. He worked first at the Animal Health Trust and then the Royal Veterinary College gaining his CertVOphthal and PhD on keratitis in the German Shepherd dog before returning to the Trust where he completed studies on blindness in farmed halibut (well somebody has to!) for his fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
The wheel then came full circle and he became an associate lecturer in ophthalmology at Cambridge running the ophthalmology clinic which he now combines with providing an ambulatory referral clinic visiting practices around East Anglia.
